Description
Oil seal has generally the function of retaining a fluid, preventing its leaking. The outside has to ensure a fixed-fitting in the seat and its tightness. Thanks to its specific profile together with the radial force applied by the spring and the characteristics of the elastomer, the sealing lip flows on the shaft creating a barrier that prevents the leakage of the fluid both in static and dynamic condition. Every Athena oil seal is in accordance with the DIN 3760 requirements. Oil seals are available in different sizes, shapes and dimensions.
