When it comes to ensuring a safe and reliable tubeless setup for your bike, choosing the right rim tape is essential. The tape is applied to the inner surface of the rim, helping to prevent punctures, ensuring an airtight seal and improving overall tyre performance.
RimTape is an essential accessory for every wheel. The high-pressure RimTape adhesive is long enough to fit any bike and ensures that the inner tube is protected and stays in place.
The choice of size depends on the type of rim you have, with or without hooks. Rims with hooks have hooks that hold the tyre in place (photo 3, icon on the left). Rims without hooks do not have these hooks, they have a straight vertical edge and often require wider tapes to ensure proper installation and a good seal (photo 3, icon on the right). The type of rim affects the internal width of the rim, so it is essential to measure it accurately. Once measured, add 2-4 mm to the internal width of the rim so that the tape adheres securely and effectively covers the spoke holes.
