The gasket is made of MotorGasket M0138, a material designed and produced by Athena. MotorGasket M0138 consists of a central layer of steel, with asbestos-free material on either side composed of a high percentage of aramid fibers, inorganic fillers, and high-binding power elastomers.

M0138 has good resistance to mechanical and thermal stresses and adapts well to surfaces. This gasket material is resistant to oils, fuels, water/antifreeze mixtures, and anti-corrosion agents, making it suitable for head gaskets, exhaust and intake gaskets, and flanges subjected to high mechanical and thermal stress.
